The hike took under five hours including the break at the top to enjoy the beautiful views. I'm glad I read in advance about the false peaks, so I was prepared to reach a peak, and have to go back down a bit, only to go back up and do that a few times before reaching Strawberry Peak. Although it was a cooler day, it was definitely warm in the sun and there was little to no shade. It was a great workout even though it wasn't a very long hike. We saw a few snakes (not rattlesnakes!) near the peak which were quick to slither away.
