Late start, forgot our parking permit is how we started today’s hike at Mount Baden-Powell. As soon as we started I started breathing hard, haha, but the trail was really nice, well kept with great views from the start. Knowing that there were 40 switchbacks, i tried to not think about it and enjoy the hike. It was easy but deceivingly hard for me because my breathing in high elevation is terrible. I kept looking down at my feet, which made the pack on my shoulders weight that much more. I composed myself with numerous stops and small breaks. My girlfriend was very supportive as always, even wanting to carry my pack (along with hers), but I told her it was ok and that I carry my own weight, so we pushed on. We finally made it to the top! Sad the flag wasn’t there, but still had great pics with the 360 views. Going down the switchbacks was a dream. Finished another one and now looking for the next mountain to check off the list.
