So… Mt Wilson wasn’t my first choice or even my last!  I wanted to finish my 6 pack on Mt San Jacinto but I wasn’t sure of the snow conditions and I needed a guaranteed summit. Well I way underestimated Wilson. She was so tough. Yes my legs were trash from my workouts this week and I also think my electrolytes were a little diluted but it would have been hard regardless. I just finished RTRTR too! (This would be a great training hike for GC) I think my mind wasn’t in the right place today. I was counting on just a for sure summit. Nothing is for sure though and Wilson reminded me of that. YES I made it to the top but I really had to work for it today. The climb was constant with little recovery and as always with the All Trails app the mileage wasn’t accurate. We clocked 16 miles. I know this post is a little whinny and complaining but honestly I am grateful for getting my butt kicked today. Just needed the reminder that every climb deserves respect.
