I used to be decently in shape and concurred many hikes.  I decided to join this challenge to get me back in the game. This was my 1st peak to summit and my longest hike in a very long time.  I did no prepping and build up prior to this hike. Boy was I surprise, apparently I am not a sprig chicken anymore and became very humbled after this hike. I came to the conclusion that I am not invincible and not able to do things like I used to! The 360 degree views from the top made everything so worth it! We started our adventure around 930 AM was at the top by 1230PM and back to the car by 330pm. The REI socks that I used were way to think and gave me an incredible blister on the back of one of my heels! (To date the worst one yet) I also brought long my light weight hiking poles that were a life saver on the way down. My knee were starting to feel it and without the poles help, I fear for the worst.  The trek down was way quicker and easier! However I felt such a sense of accomplishment. On to More!
