If you live in Phoenix you know. This one is out of towner central! The Instagram hike of Greater Phoenix, and for that reason I’m glad it’s checked off the list.

The hike itself is a good challenge. It is one to raise the heart rate and for that I really enjoyed it. Parking here is tough though. I arrived to the lot around 1030 and it was full. So, I parked at the Omni Resort off of Lincoln (cost $5 when said and done) and walked the half mile to the trail head. I chose to include that portion into my hike. Total “hike time” was 2:17:02 and I returned to my car at 1342. Total mileage (roundtrip) was 4.42 miles.

Unfortunately not too many notables hike wise. It’s heavily trafficked and there’s quite a bit of scrabbling on the Echo Canyon side. Oh! I guess there is one tid bit… the Cholla Trail is currently closed. All in all the out and back was nice. Beautiful views at the top after all the rain and snow this week, very clear. As always my one summit beer makes for a pleasurable rejuvenation, high recommend adding it to your reward system 🙂

Stay safe. Have fun. Enjoy your hike to my SocialHikers near and far!
