We arrived at the parking lot at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. The parking lot was about half full at that time. We've done this hike several times, and it never gets any easier (especially that first mile!) The trail was in good shape overall, but there were approximately 3 large downed trees to maneuver over/around. We read online that a couple of days ago the flag at the top had been missing, we were so happy to see the flag waving proudly in the wind today! 🙂
Great day for a hike and as always, all of the hikers were very polite and friendly!
