Since your on a trail named after him, I’m pretty sure he said that from the top of Mt. Saint Helena. Lol  You’ll see why.  I’ve been to Napa many times, but never had a complete view of the Valley quite like this.  It gives you a  bird’s eye view of the planted and enchanted valley.

The upsides are the views and the first mile.  Not a big lover of service road walking, so he kinda trudge long the roadway for the majority of the hike.  The spectacular views numb any negative thoughts of having to do this.

The valley will always be explained and influenced by my memory of that beautiful perch.  Enjoy it and take your fill of water.  I raise a ???? to those that make the “poetry” I enjoy sipping on!
