4/11/2021 Peak 6 of 6: We got an early start, but since it’s Arizona, it was already hot. We were very optimistic and in awe of such a beautiful scenery, until we quickly realized this was going to be a rock climb. This final hike, aka rock “scramble” took us 8 hours! We had shade, water, snacks, electrolytes, breaks, breeze, some falls, a lot of almost falls, scrapes, bruises, and torn shorts, but we made it!! This one definitely questioned my will to keep going since I knew the hike back down would be just as hard. We have officially completed ✅ this challenge ????
We are exhausted and sore, but very proud & excited.
Side note- we came across A LOT of unprepared hikers, wrong shoes, little or no water, and no snacks. Yes, it’s a short-ish hike, but demanded a lot of energy. Plan ahead and research before your next hike.
