What a hike! It was long, taking almost 6 hours. But the view at the top was worth it. We started early to avoid the heat, which really paid off as most of the trail was shaded on the way up. On the way back down it was almost completely exposed to the sun though, so bring plenty of water. There were a lot of bugs, especially towards the peak, so insect repellent isn't a terrible idea.
