San Jacinto was by far the longest hike we’ve done so far in one day. All-Trails estimated 11mi but we came back right under 14mi on our 10hr day hike. It was absolutely the most fun day hike though, we saw deer and the view was always beautiful- it was a foggy day but we hiked through the gloom and we’re above the clouds and that’s really how it made me feel! Getting to see the PCT blaze was really something too- this hike was filled with excitement and I really think that’s what kept me going, even though my knees gave out on the way back down. Steven and I will definitely be back to camp at the site we passed on the way to the peak- I’d love to take my friends but I’m pretty sure it’s too intense!
