My two teenagers and I loved this hike!  Vivian Creek trail is beautiful!  The second mile is extremely steep (worse coming down).  It took us about 4.5 hours to get to High Creek where we set up camp. I wish we had walked up further as we had little privacy where we camped. The Creek was close which was nice for meal times. After setting up camp we headed up the trail to the summit which took us 2.5 hours. We summits at 3:30 after making it through the murder mile and last mile. They were rough!!  The view at the top was amazing and I was happy we summited when we did as there were less people than earlier in the day. We got back to camp in less than 2 hours and made a fire. We could see the city lights from camp. There were some mosquitoes, but not too bad. We packed up and left at 8 am the next morning and made it to our car in 3 hours. We saw a deer at the bottom of the trail.
