Baldy bowl

First of all, my lord I have never felt the sheer exhaustion that this peak gave me. We got to the parking lot around 7.30 we drove 2.30 hours to the trail head so we were a bit hesitant to start. Once on the trail we stopped to take a picture at the waterfall. We continue and at one point i told my dog, this is not the way to the baldy bowl. So we stopped and since no signal anywhere i had to rely on my gut and we decided to turn back. We had passed the trail about .07 miles ???? once on the baldy bowl trail we continue and the assend was one of the hardest i dont know what it was could of been the altitude but i felt tired. This has been one of the slowest trekk ive done. Anyways our first stop was the ski hut but it seem like we were never going to reach it. Once there we stopped and fuel had a snack water and continued assending. We keeo going up and up and i couldnt see the end i was dreadding it. I told roxy what in the world. I had to stop a couple of times to catch my breath roxy was running like nothing. Listen ive done bright angel trailhead at the grand canyon and it wasnt has tough as this. Anyways once in the summit i was exited with our achivement. Roxy played with some of the snow left. We rested and ate then started decending. Now the decending was the easiest part. We took less time and less stops on the way back. But we had to stop because dogs tend to overheat and mine doesnt have a stop button so i have to make her stop. Over all i will do this again but without my dog. I cant be worrying about her and myself at the same time. But it was an adventure we wont forget.
