It was nice to make it to the top of San Bernardino this year in one try. I don't recall seeing a lick of ice anywhere on the mountain. In fact it was was a fairly warm day. This mountain grows on you. It's long and after you've hiked it a few times, you know what to expect. It's long, but it's gorgeous and it's just fun. Bring plenty of water, but the spring roughly 2 miles from the top flows freely, so you do have options.
