Mount San Jacinto is a special place. It was truly a beautiful hike and a little surreal what the temperature difference is from the desert below. 100 in Palm Spring and 70s at top of tramway.
Hydration is key—it feels very dry with the altitude.
Make sure to get a permit at the ranger station , which you need to submit on your return.
