This hike almost didn't happen this year. But after hearing from friends who bagged this peak either by Cadillac-Joplin or by Maple Springs Road I decided to try the Maple Springs Road. I didn't start at the trailhead but instead drove in by about five miles thus making my hike a 13.2 round trip hike instead of the full 20 mile round trip hike. The weather was good. There were however bugs which were an annoyance although they weren't present for the entire route. The trail was essentially a fire road. I was the only hiker on the trail. Everyone else on the trail were either bicyclists, motorcyclists or cars or trucks or SUVs. But the hike itself was excellent. The weather was just right and other than the bugs and the dust from the vehicles it was a good experience.  This hike was done in the afternoon. I drove in at around 11:15am and got to the place where I had decided to park my vehicle at around 11:40am and there I had lunch. I then started hiking at 12:05pm and reached the summit at 2:33 pm. I took pictures and then headed out to the lookout ridge and chatted with a few people who had driven up the road I just hiked. I started hiking back at 3:18pm and reached my car at around 5:35pm. I then loaded up and then got in and drove back to the trailhead. The sun was just setting when I  got back to the trailhead in my vehicle. And with that the SoCal Six-Pack of Peaks 2019 ended on a high note that I had gotten all 12 peaks in the lineup.
