This hike is outstanding. It was a breath of fresh air, especially considering my hike at Rose Peak yesterday. I began the hike around 7 am. Just me, lots of fog and some drizzle. I loved every second. This trail has everything. It feels like you are traveling through distinct and precisely divided worlds. You begin at the beach that suddenly becomes dense woods. The fog floating in and around the trees is nothing short of magical. I had to keep taking breaks so I could take pictures. Beach becomes woods become forests become rolling hills. Amazing.

The view from the peak was breathtaking as well. You have a 360 view of the bay that does not disappoint.

The trail was in perfect condition and is about 80% shaded.

My feet hurt but I have no regrets. Looking forward to the break that is Umunhum tomorrow.

ps. I saw what I am almost certain was a western diamondback rattlesnake— I'll post the picture below to see if anyone can identify it
