Three peaks, two counties, one hike

Trailhead:

Mt Pinos Campsite

Type of Hike:

Day hike

Trail Conditions:

Trail in good condition

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

No bugs

Snow:

Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

Just a tiny bit of snow left. To make it more interesting I started a bit earlier, at Pinos Campsite, not the Nordic Base, and went on to Grouse to complete the tree-two-one challenge. Most of the trip is about 8000 ft, which makes for a nice bit of altitude training as well. It was a bit chilly and windy, and the views over the clouds never gets old. On a weekday I saw nobody beyond Pinos; I like that.
