Joan and I got an early 6:20am start from the South Fork trailhead parking lot, made good time to Horse Meadow Camp, and then took an opportunity for a photo op (w/Old Greyback in the background) at the lookout point. Lotsa water at South Fork-SA River to re-supply, if needed. We topped out at around 1:30pm with a beautiful view of SoCal to enjoy. To save about 1-mile on the return, we took the trail down via Dollar Lake which afforded us great views of Mt. San Bernardino along the way.
It was a very long day for both of us as we arrived back at the trailhead just ahead of sunset at 7:15pm….2019 6-Pack of Peaks completed !
