Started around 8:20 am at Mitchell Canyon. Weather was nice and cool through the canyon. Met a little tarantula hanging out in the Sun on the way up 🙂 Mitchell Canyon Road led to Deer Flat Rd then Juniper Trail and then to the Summit. It was too hot by the time we reached up (~12:30ish). The ice-cream in the museum/ gift-shop was an absolute blessing!!! We took the same route back down (tried looking out for the loop around from North Peak Trail but for some reason we could not easily find it around the lower parking). Total about a little over ~13 miles.

Hike down was a torture, heat was ohh-no-no-no fun. But its all worth it when you have good friends to complain to and share the pain with (and some delicious sweet grapes)!! Would love to go back in late spring/ early summer to see all the waterfalls and lush green mountain slopes (the imagination that kept me walking downhill in the what felt like a never-ending climb down).
