This was my 2nd attempt at San Gorgonio. My boyfriend actually came with me to this one for moral support and he backpacked with me to Halfway Camp.  I summited with a wonderful group called FRIENDS THAT HIKE, and we had a fantastic leader. We started at 3:30 am with a full moon! When we got to Halfway Camp morning started to break and I dropped off Joe and my backpacking gear and continued with my daypack.   The group went from 21 to 18 and all 18 summited this trip! I was pretty good on most of this hike but the last two miles kicked my butt. I had a lot of doubt running through my head but with the help of the sweeper and my trail end sister Marcella we summited!! This was the most emotional I have ever been at a peak! It goes to show how far you can push yourself and how mental it is! I got to take a great photo with all 18 people from our group. Then people started to ascend. Coming down felt like forever. My feet hurt and I was very grateful I chose to stay the night at camp.  When I got down and say my love Joe it was the best thing to see for me. He ha dinner ready and the tent set up! I WAS SO DONE!! I CRIED AGAIN! IM DONE! YAY!
