When we arrived at the tram parking lot at 7:30 am, the weather in Palm Springs was already heating up.  We hopped on the first tram at 8:00 and to my surprise, it was pretty chilly, I think in the 50's at the top of the tram which made for a great hike.  We reached the peak by 11:30 and had lunch and a nice nap in the shade.  We took a few pics and headed down.  My husband brought his water filter and filtered a few liters at Round Valley for an ice cold drink of mountain spring water which was so delicious.  The only part of the hike I don't enjoy is the last 200 foot climb to the tram station!  Otherwise, I love this hike with the great views and the mild elevation gain.  Only one more to go!!!
