This was our (my girlfriend and I) 2nd peak of the weekend and was the most busy/popular peak thus far. Went out in the morning and the parking lot was already full. Trail was wide enough and in great condition where as for dealing with other hikers was no issue whatsoever. Difficulty wise this was about the same compared to Black Butte but the views up on the summit were much better due to being so close to Mt. Bachelor, South Sister, and Broken Top. The only problem we came across was my girlfriend forget to pack socks higher than ankle high for our weekend adventure and that came back to bite her LOL. she developed blisters about the size of a silver dollar which made what was supposed to be an easy stroll difficulty wise, turned out to be excruciating and the longest 4.2 mile hike she has ever had. At about the 2 mile mark you reach the summit and have great views of the South sister. It seems so close it feels like you can reach out and touch it with your bare hands. Overall, a hike that gave you a lesson learned. Which is, if you are packing for hiking trips, even if they wont be difficult not coming prepared will come back to bite you in the you know what.
