We arrived at 7:30am and there was already a good amount of cars parked on the road. Gate to park in the lot opens at 8am, although you can just park on the road anytime.
There are bathrooms open at the trail head.
This was a challenging hike for us, very steep climbs in some places and since you also hike coming back in places it made for quite a hike.
We added 2.8 miles hiking out to the granite face to have lunch and the view all to ourselves.
I think our hike ended up being 14 miles
