Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

Wow! This was a tough but beautiful hike with so much history and gorgeous scenery. As the trail is historic, it had few switchbacks and was a relentless climb. The temperatures were perfect and the conditions ideal. With 5100’ of elevation gain, I’d recommend it for anyone wanting a challenge.
