Took the Five Oaks trail on the way up and saw a bald eagle perched atop a tree.  It was surveying the valley below.  When we approached the summit they were doing work on the telephone poles.  They had a helicopter bringing in replacement poles.  While the noise was not exactly fitting with the nature scene, it was quite spectacular to see.  Saw a cool snake on the trail on the way down.
