The road to the hike is one of the most washboardy roads I have ever been on and the last mile of the drive almost requires a high clearance vehicle. That being said the hike was good. Definitely and uphill challenge almost the whole way and once you start clearing the tree line the trail gets steep until it switchbacks around to the easterly side of the butte. The views were great and it is a climb that includes some history. The weather was perfect for the hike. All in all a great day.
