What an experience! I was a little unsure of where the trailhead was, so I stopped and asked at the Visitor Center. Plenty of parking for a Tuesday afternoon. Only 6 cars in the lots. The trail itself is very rocky (smaller rocks) and tougher on the feet. I would say it is this way 35% of the time. I decided to go counter clockwise… excellent decision. In my opinion, much easier. The trail is marked well. The peak itself is outstanding. Views – wow. No shade on the hike. Bring more water then you think you'll need 🙂 Great time!

SIDE NOTE:

**I passed two men in their early 40s. VERY questionable characters. I hike a lot and actually felt unsafe – especially when I saw them trying to catch up to me. Fortunately, I'm in pretty decent shape so I was able to out pace them. First time I have ever felt unsafe hiking alone.
