Wasson Peak. Jan 01, 2020 @ 7:45AM. Total Distance: 8.2 miles. Elevation Gain: 2,080 ft. This was my favorite of the 6POP. Great hike on gradual rock path, surrounded by a virtual forest of saguaro cactuses ????, although it is a mostly exposed trail and best hiked during the cooler months. It was also the highest summit, topping out at 4,687 ft. Best to take the loop by ascending via the King’s Canyon trail and descending via Hugh Norris / Sendero Esperanza / Gould Mine trails (for the best views) back to the trailhead parking lot.
