Such an awesome hike! My wife and I started the hike just before 6:30am just because we knew how busy that area is. From the start it was a gradual incline that definitely got out heart rates going. It was a brisk 36° which confused me for a second because I couldn’t tell if my leg were just cold or burning from the elevation gain. ???? The trail was well marked and in great condition. As we made it to the top we started to see snow from the night before. Nothing to crazy, just enough to keep you super focused on your footing and where the trail is. Made it to the top and rewarded with amazing views! Can’t wait foe the next peak!

    1. Hey Margaret,
You will need to book a reservation to enter Red Rock Canyon after 8am in order to get to the Turtle Head Peak trail head. If you have that taken care of you should be fine. Let me know if you have any other questions.
