We decided to get to the trail as early as possible (we love our morning hikes). All morning it was cloudy with a few sprinkles as we ascended into the clouds where we were greeted with some cold winds. It certainly beats the scorching heat that can come with this trail. The trails were well maintained. We were surprised by our stair climbing workout that we got on our way to the top. We certainly earned the chance to eat a potato chip at the top. It was great because there were not many people at the top waiting for that photo opportunity. On our way down we enjoyed the views since the clouds had pretty much lifted.
