Never hike Quartz Peak before, but we already did the other 6 peaks so my brother and I decided “why not” do a new peak.

First Google took us a crap route to the trail head. It was down some narrow wash. There are better ways to the trailhead. I will try to email google.

We arrived early to the trail head. First ones in the parking lot. Once we started out we didn't see the quarts peak at first, it took about 45 minutes, The trial is at a good incline almost all the way to the peak, but very manageable for a good pace. The trail is well marked, only got a few feet off the trail here and there, but was right on the rest of the time. Nice being the first ones, it was very quiet all the way up. Once after the first hill top you crest you can see the quartz peak, it looks way further than it actually is, don't be discourage.  Once you get to the top you realize how high you actually are. We could see Ahwatukee all the way to 4 peaks. Downtown Phoenix was visible too, with Camelback mountain at it's center. The way down seemed like it took forever, we ran into a few groups of people that asked us how much further to the peak, as well as the regular how nice of a day small talk, which it was. People are always friendly on the trails. Making it to the end with no issues, just some tired feet. Had some nice cold beers in a Chandler brewery to finish the day. Arizona is beautiful.
