What views! This was a long hike, 9.75 miles according to my watch, but that helped “stretch out” the elevation gain which was about 2500 ft. The trail starts out with the red dirt of Sedona and not too many rocks. The trail does become rocky a little ways into the hike. We hiked on a Wednesday and only ran across of few other hikers. The views from the top are incredible. I recommend this hike!
