Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

First snow was at 2800 ft today. Road to summit was closed to the public so the Visitors Center at the top was NOT crowded ????. Lots of clouds/fog, visibility was spotty but improved by early afternoon. Broke in a new pair of Trail Runners on the mud, snow, and ice. And shaved over an hour off my time from last year. (Admittedly, that was in 95 deg heat. And I was training with a 25 lb pack last summer…)
