Hey SoCal! Registration for the 2018 Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge is Open!

2018 SoCal Six-Pack of Peaks ChallengeIt's here! Early-bird registration for the 2018 SoCal Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge is now open.

This is our fourth year for the annual challenge, and right now is the best time to sign-up. This year, we've made a few changes.

What's New

The core peaks remain the same: Mount Wilson, Cucamonga Peak, Mount San Antonio, San Bernardino Peak, Mount San Jacinto and San Gorgonio. If you want to mix it up, this year you can optionally swap Mount Baden-Powell for Mount Wilson, and Ontario Peak for Cucumonga Peak.

We also have a new website for logging your hikes and tracking your progress: SocialHiker.net (you're looking at it).  Our new site lets you track your progress and collect virtual badges across any of our challenges, including Colorado, Oregon and soon, Northern California in addition to Southern California.

Six-Pack gift cardsGive Someone the Gift of Adventure!

We now have physical gift cards so you can give a friend or family member a gift registration to the Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge.

These are a great option that give your recipient something to physically open.

You select the registration level. They level-up their outdoor adventure.

Registering at the Trailblazer level? This year, you get your choice of three t-shirt options: dark charcoal men's/unisex or ladies cut, or a purple ladies racerback tank.

These tri-blend shirts are lightweight and comfortable. And the tees have a list of the six peaks on the back below the collar.

Once again, we will be organizing a team for the Climb for Heroes hike up Mount San Antonio — aka Mt Baldy — to benefit The Heroes Project. This year's Climb for Heroes will be held on May 20, 2018, so mark your calendar!

Commit to getting outside more, hiking higher and putting more adventure in your 2018. Sign-up today!

    1. Hi Eric! This is Jeff from SoCalHiker.net AND SocialHiker.net. We moved the hiking logs and registration over to Social Hiker to consolidate as we expand the challenge to different regions. So yes, it’s the same thing, but for 2018 and on, the hiking logs and challenges are hosted here. We’re still using SoCalHiker.net for the hiking guides, however.

      Hope this clarifies things.

  1. Hi Jeff, I’m having problems trying to sign up for the SoCal Challenge. I get this error on the registration page. “Sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods for your state. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements.” Can you please help? We’re planning on completing a few of the hikes this weekend.

    1. Hi William! Thanks for reaching out. Please give it another try. We were doing some updates on the website last night, and all is well now.

      Happy Trails!
