Thought it would be colder, but it was a beautiful day. Some icy snow in the shade that was pretty sketchy crossing in the morning, but was pretty slushy on the way back in the afternoon. Would recommend crampons or poles at a minimum and good shoes if doing it soon. I’m not sure why so many seem to love this trail so much… they should get out more. There were some pretty views, but the evil, thorny bushes covering a lot of the trail made it a pretty painful hike. Pretty rocky towards the top… the actual top. I say that because you have to cross a couple peaks to get to Strawberry. Each one we started up we thought was it, but nope. Had to keep going. It was like chasing a rainbow for a bit. I swear it kept getting further away lol. The summit sign is one of the cutest I’ve seen though. The view at the top was great. You can see LA in all of its smog. The coolest part is that you can see the ocean! We could even pick out a few large boats in the water.  It was an adventurous trail, but not one I’d do again. Can’t wait to see what the other peaks have in store!
