Started at 6:50 am, no headlamp needed. Parking lot is across the street from trailhead. Be careful crossing the busy Ortega Hwy.

First 4 miles, gradual incline. Last 1 mile, lots of rock scrambling. Beautiful view and perfect place for lunch. Overall great hike!
