Began hike at roughly 6:30am with Enoch and Mike. Sun was up on the horizon and temperature was about 44 degrees. Trail was undulating with some gradual uphills and downhills until we reached the Sitton Peak white marker pointing toward the peak. From that point it was relatively steep with a lot of loose dirt and rocks to scramble up. Still was not too difficult and we rested a couple time to catch our breathes. Once we arrived at the peak, we found only a couple other hikers at the time. We took pictures with a blue handmade sign that was at the peak. We had lunch and took in the view of Catalina and the neighboring hills for about 30 min. From that point we headed down with a little bit of a challenging decent for the first half mile, then it was very easy from then on out. We encountered a lot of groups headed up which made us glad we got such an early start.
We arrived at the trail head around 11:15am where we visited the candy store, bought some sweets and were in the car and headed home around 11:45am.
It was a nice hike overall and the weather was amazing.
