This hike was very challenging for me due to a consistent headache from pretty early on. But I have great hiking buddies who were patient with me, even though I had to take a few more breaks to catch my breath and drink water. I had plenty of water (over 5L), but would recommend more electrolytes if you are prone to altitude issues. The hike (via Marion Mtn) took us about 10 hours (elapsed time, we ate lunch at the top and stopped numerous times on the way up/down for breaks.) There is a running stream on the trail and an outhouse at the campground which is about 2/3 way up. The weather was perfect and the terrain pretty good – except for the bouldering near the top and some large boulders/big steps along the way.
