We intended to hike El Cajon but changed our minds when we encountered the story weather on our way down to San Diego. We though 4k' in elevation gain in the rain would be too much, so we switched to the easier Mt. Woodson. A lot of people were on the trail, but much fewer than the reports typically reflect. We were able to take pix on Potato Chip Rock after waiting for only a couple other people. The rocks, Potato Chip and at the summit, were dangerously wet and difficult and dangerous to climb. Not much of a view since were fogged and rained in. The wettest hike I've ever been on!
