One of my favorite hikes to date

The first 2.5 miles are uphill switch back.  We started the hike at 7am, the sun had just started coming up and the views were beautiful….make sure to stop to take in the scenery rather than head down to power through those first few miles.  Rest of the way is service road where you circle around the mountain with more beautiful views.  We did climb over 5 or 6 downed trees, nothing major though.  Once you reach the peak, you have a full 360 view of nature!  It is a bit windy at the top and there are picnic tables to sit down at to refuel.  I would do this hike again…….although the last 2.5miles coming down the switch backs was the worst part for me.  Felt like it’d never end!
