We had perfect weather. Low 70’s, sunny, very little wind. The trail was well marked except at mile 2.5 there was a fork in the road but turned out both paths lead to the same place further up the hill. There were quite a few trail runners we needed to pull over for both going out and returning. We came across about 20 hikers. The trail is challenging as there is elevation gain and loss both on the way to the peak and back. The last two miles has very mild hills, but since so much work had already been out in previous 8.5 miles these hills were a little challenging due to tired legs. Gorgeous views at the top and well worth the work to get there. Very pretty views on the way back. Today we could see all the way to Downtown San Diego skyline.
