Picture Perfect Day on Greylock

Retraced “Thoreau’s Footsteps” through wide flat Bellows Pipe Trail, until the shelter where we began ascending steeply through open forest and grassy areas, ending on the tippy top of the Thunderbolt trail/AT to the summit. We had amazing views of the Adirondacks,  Catskills, Vermont, monadnock, wachusett and beyond. Returned via the AT north and Bernard Farm trail, past the 1988 plane wreck and back to the car
