The views from San Jacinto are absolutely amazing especially on a clear blue day like we had. You have the forest to one side and the desert to the other. With San Gorgonio greeting you across the way. I had never been on the tram so I was really excited to see what it was all about with the rotating floor. It did not disappoint and the rock formations along the mountsides were spectacular to see! So impressive!
I loved The valley and meadows you come across on the way up to Wellman’s divide. They were covered in beautiful growing California Corn Lily. They hadn’t bloomed just yet but we’re still amazing. Wellman’s divide was a great place to stop for a snack break with awesome views.
To get to the peak we had to climb boulders with our hands that was very different than any of the other SoCal peaks. That was a new fun adventure!
