I pulled up at 6 am to an already overflowed parking lot. I’m from Ventura county so this amount of people somewhere that early is always a shock to me. The hike up wasn’t as hard as I was expecting and I feel like mount Wilson is way worse in my opinion. The hardest part was last climb after the switchbacks end. It got windy and cold after the saddle so I’m glad I had a jacket and pants. There were a few little spots of snow/ice but no more than 15 steps at a time and there were big footprints to walk in. I was getting pretty annoyed with people not following trail etiquette. It was very busy and the trail is pretty much single file the whole way. Uphill hikers have the right of way but so many people were just hauling down and hoping you got out of their way.
