El Cajon in the mist DDay HIKE

Not only did I hike my 8th peak in 6PoPC, I also did it for DDay 76th Anniversary, June 6th 1944. The men that stormed Normandy for our freedom. “We Walk to Honor Those Who No Longer Can.”
The hike itself was great & very challenging! It was raining when we 1st got there(6:30am), so we waited for about 30 mins before we started to hike. It was misty, nice n chilly, but it was extremely muddy. It’s a great workout climbing up & over boulders. Next year, we’ll  make sure to hike on a warm, sunny day! Oh,  Make sure to see the mines!
