Hot Springs Mountain Trail is located on Los Coyotes Indian Reservation. There is a $10 per person entrance fee, but once you enter the grounds, plenty of parking near the campsite. When we ventured to this trail, they had just reopened the grounds up to the public so there were only a few other cars already parked. You will begin this trail at the fire road, Sukat Rd (photo included). From there it's a pretty easy trail to follow up to the top. Like others have mentioned, the first 2.5 miles of the trail are difficult because you are doing most of the hiking up hill in the beginning. But then you begin to level out and the landscape becomes more woodsy. Overall, this trail was a very pleasant hike and we enjoyed the views from the top. However, I will say, bring your bug spray. I was bitten by horse flies really bad (like I had about 15 bites that just killed me for a week). The bugs were out of control, to the point that I've been hesitant to get back out because of it. But, thus the life of a hiker!
