This one was rather difficult, but very nice.

A few words of advice:

1. Wear pants. There is a stretch of about 0.5 miles between mile 3 and 4 where the trail narrows significantly due to growth of thorny bushes on both sides.

2. The distance markers and GPS readings don't coincide with each other. Maps showed the distance as 11.4 miles round trip, but GPS on my watch and phone both logged it at over 14 miles.

3. The creek at the campground is dry. If you need water, get it at the creek about 1 mile prior, it has a pretty good stream.

I started the day early and the weather was quite pleasant up until around midday. I happened to lose cover at around that time as well and that made it feel a bit warmer. Overall, it was comfortable, but be prepared for some heat in the afternoon.

The views at the top are awesome and worth the effort!

    1. Apologies, I should have provided the name. It is the Little Round Valley campground. It is just before the climb up all the switchbacks.
