This hike was absolutely beautiful. My husband and I approached this hike in two different ways so I can say this trail is moderately challenging and hikers should be prepared with plenty of water, snacks, long pants, and boots. Trekking poles were extremely helpful. I don't think I could have, or would have enjoyed the hike as much without them. There is a lot of sun exposure and the bugs were pretty annoying so I suggest wearing a hat. My husband wore shorts, trail running shoes, and skipped a hat. I wore hiking pants, hiking boots, and I always wear a hat. By the time we reached the summit, I was feeling great, but the hubs was less comfortable. He definitely underestimated the trail.
Gorgeous scenery at the summit and the wild flowers that line the trail are beautiful and plentiful.
