- I started this hike around 530ish, nice cool 62 degrees and finished at 1015, warm 74 degrees. It took me about 4+ hours. The bugs are a nuisance, don’t forget your bug spray. The beginning of the trail is nice, there is alot of under growth that provides a lot of shade which helps with the heat. No rattlesnake on this hike! Thank goodness. The view of Sedona is spectacular at the top. This hike was my first time using hiking poles and I’ll be using them again, they helped alot. My new hiking shoes did great! No blisters this time around! ????✊???????????? A great day!
