Peak #11 ✔ El Cajon Peak~ Hills on Hump Day & Completed all 6 San Diego Peaks!  Definitely not a hike to do in the heat. We were lucky for the first 4 miles before the sun broke through. Trail goes up and down (steep) the entire 5.6 miles to the peak, rough-broken-rocky trail so sturdy shoes & treking poles are a must to save for feet and knees. This is a minimum of 2+liters of water & additional electrolytes. The peak is definitely not where you’d think it is but almost a half mile further scrambling up rocks and through narrow trails/shrubs. The trail is marked along the way & tall green trail markers make finding the peak a success.❣
